Logo Design | Brand Style Guide

Magicbook is an AI-startup that seeks to design beautiful, custom photo books for users in under 60 seconds, applying AI to make processes easy, assisted and automatic - photo selection, grouping, layouts and embellishments.

The existing logo was seen as too casual. not indicative of the powerful technology behind the scenes, and not appealing to the target audience. For a lifestyle brand that allowed people to make beautiful, stylized photo books, the logo needed to embody the spirit.

The new Magicbook logo embodies the ‘simplicity’, that the brand seeks to provide. It moves away from a literal representation of a ‘photo book’ and lets the tag-line and
other messaging convey the product & benefits to the user. It comprises of the word-mark and an accompanying icon. The icon, while derived from an abstracted form of a camera shutter, can mean any
number of things to the viewer - magic, photos, automation, or even simply fun!

PS: Magicbook is now called Phototales and sports a new brand identity, now that the product and value offering has evolved.
